- ESMC (SyncE) support has been added for the HSE40GE, HSE100GE and HSE 40/100GE load modules
- E-LMI emulation has been added based on MEF 16 standard UNI-N and UNI-C emulation is supported.
- ITU-T Y.1564 Ethernet Service Activation QuickTest is introduced
New Data Center Features
- IxNetwork now supports Multi-Topology for the DCE-ISIS protocol emulation
- IxNetwork now supports the FCoE performance benchmark QuickTests, which include the FCoE Max No-Drop Throughput performance test and the FCoE Max No-Pause (PFC) Throughput performance test
- IxNetwork now supports the IEEE 802.1Qaz version of DCBX
- DCB and FCoE protocols are now supported on the Xcellon-Flex Combo 10/40GE Accelerated Performance load module and the Xcellon-Flex 4 x 40GE Full Emulation load module
- IxNetwork DCBX emulation now allows the user to configure and advertise up to eight (8) Protocol IDs in the Application TLV
New Impairment Features
- IxNetwork 6.10EA fully integrates the new 1G and 10G Ethernet Impairment Load Modules into the GUI
New IxReporter Features
- New Data Analysis features including drag-and-drop data browser
- The IxReporter report wizard now provides the ability to multi-select several test runs and generate each report or generate a combined report
- IxReporter provides enhancements to table and chart formatting options
- IxReporter now provides the ability to compress and de-compress result files saving 80-90% of required disk space when compressed
- IxReporter adds a new Archive feature which saves all related results files into a single archive file (shareable)
New MPLS/Routing/Switching Features
- Support working Pseudowire (PW) switchover to protect PW with nested protection on LSP, using BFD or Y.1731 continuity check
- "Re-advertise Routes" is introduced to force BGP routes re-advertisement with new attributes or new number of routes
- Advertise BGP routes with Ixia proprietary signature in the 'Optional Transit Attribute'
- A "filtered view" for Protocol Interfaces is now available
New QuickTest Features
- Asymmetric Data Performance QuickTest suite is introduced
- ITU-T Y.1564 Ethernet Service Activation QuickTest is introduced
- FCoE performance benchmark QuickTest, which includes the FCoE Max No-Drop Throughput performance test and the FCoE Max No-Pause (PFC) Throughput performance test
New Test Composer Features
- Autoscroll functionality in Debug mode GUI: The application was enhanced so as to be capable of automatically scrolling in the Debug mode window to the step that is currently executing
- GUI Indicator to see pass/fail for current Test: The application was enhanced so that the status bar at the bottom of the GUI shows the status of the currently active test
- IxNetwork Test Compose GetValue command enhancements
New IxVM Features
- IxVM now supports the KVM hypervisor running over RHEL/CentOS 5.6 as the host operating system
- IxVM now supports RHEL/CentOS 5.6 guest operating systems
- IxVM now supports Data Capture mode, in addition to Control Capture mode

- Supports the ability to generate random content in the Data Payload section of a packet when configuring a traffic stream
- The Random UDF function is now supported on the IxVM modules
